Wessex Projects is a collaboration between sisters and artists Agnes Kessling and Mirren Kessling, collectively they initiate projects and create contemporary artefacts rooted in the mythology and folk-lore of the North Wessex Downs. An ancient chalk downs located across Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire; it’s ridge, known as the Ridgeway has been walked continuously since prehistoric times. Founded in 2020, Wessex Projects creates limited edition runs of clothes (pathwear), artworks, food, wearable objects alongside inviting collaborations and curating projects with practitioners, artists, makers and organisations based throughout the South of England.
